Are we more apt to get enthusiastic about mischief, or things that are more noble and good?
In the words of one of our esteemed Seniors, "Are we throwing physical dice to make money, or are we throwing intellectual dice to gain knowledge?"

In the words of Kanye, one is more enthusiastic about doing bad actions than doing good actions. When a person does a good action they feel good about themselves and feel enthusiastic about it. When someone does something bad your body starts to release adrenaline and the enthusiasm lasts longer than if you were to do a good thing. Someone who is enthusiastic grasps the attention of other people because the energy that one person gives off is appealing to others, for example in New York City when a person starts to shout things in public areas it catches the attention of people and makes them want to join the cause even if they are not aware of what is really going on. In specific times and specific places bring out different levels of enthusiasm.
Throwing physical dice creates more enthusiasm because you are gaining money. In today’s society people are more interested in the number they have in the bank rather than the grade they get on a test. Money can provide a negative/positive connotation depending on the enthusiasm that goes into getting it or using it.

From the text Confessions he gets enthusiasm from stealing pears. He knows that it’s a sin and against the law but yet he still steals pears for the rush and the enjoyment. Even though he says he has better pears than the one he is stealing. He must of thought that the enthusiasm or the rush he was going to get out of it was greater than the risk of getting caught. From the Wooden’s pyramid it states that enthusiasm brushes off upon others that you come in contact with, and in Confessions he steals with his friends.
We usually get most enthusiastic when we commit bad things. We feel enthusiastic when we’re going to commit something that was not supposed to. When our parents or the law forbids us to do something it makes us want to do it more. However we also become enthusiastic when we’re preparing for something; preparing for a test, preparing for college; preparing for a test; preparing for the future.
When we role the dice we’re taking a risk.
