The writer is Augustine.  His autobiography is entitled "Confessions." He speak of his attitude on music. It sometimes helps. It sometime hinders. We listened for beat and rhythm. We looked at lyrics. Both are important.

1. How does music affect you? Is there a specific time and place when the lyrics are more important than the rhythm?  Are there times when the rhythm is more important? Give a full explanation.

  1. Mental: "Ill Mind Of Hopsin 5"
Lyrics: "And any eye witness can see, they purposely making the innocent weak.
My existence on this planet’s for you, I ain’t only here to benefit me.
Yo, we need to make a change while there’s still time.
It is hard, and sometimes I struggle trying to reveal mine.
I can guide you if you feel blind.
I just need you to be willing to journey into my Ill Mind."

    Moral:
    Song: "Guts Over Fear"
Lyrics: "So this is for every kid who all's they ever did was dreamt of one day just getting accepted
I represent him or her, anyone similar, you are the reason that I made this song"

    Physical:
    Song: "Shady XV"
Lyrics: "But I got a hunch like your back when it's arching
When I start attacking your squadron
You'll feel like MasterCard when I'm charging
So take a swipe at me, I'm coming straight at you
Like Clay Matthews from the Green Bay Packers
So get the sack of Wisconsin
That's nutbag that I'm talking, who am I kidding?"

    Rest:
    Song: "Die Alone"
Lyrics: "And how the f*** do you sleep comfortably
Knowing what you done did to me, huh?
Did it even occur to you that I loved you?
Completely, deep, and madly head over heels for you
Was you and me, wants us to be together forever
It was supposed to be us, but you crushed the dream
We was supposed to die together, and it's killing me so much
When I sleep I wake up dead, must be why I
Hook: Saw two white coffins in my dreams last night
I saw my Lord Jesus with his hands pointing toward the light
Saw my old sweetheart she said, "honey, I'm back"
Just so you don't die alone, just so you don't die alone"

    Exercise and Diet:
    Song: "We Made It"
Lyrics: "I was fighting through every rhyme
    Tightening up every line
Never restin' the question if I
    Was out of my mind"

Music is really important in my life because it helps me prepare myself to relax before having something important to do. For example playing soccer and before my day starts in school, specially when I have test to take. Yes there is a specific time and place when the lyrics are more important than the rhythm. For example during the mass because I believe people will listen to it and is a great way to communicate the word of God. But there is also time when the rhythm is more important for example for me on my way to a soccer game I want to listen to the rhythm to get me to move and relax for the game.

Music can change my mood a lot of the times like sometimes i can listen to rap and be hype or i can listen to someone singing and get sad.No there is no specific place or time.Yes when you are trying to get a message across.

Music motivates me no matter what I am doing, while I am on the train, on my way to my baseball game or even before falling asleep. Even though there are different types of music I listen to in these situations. When you are looking for inspiration in music I believe the lyrics are more important than the rhythm. When you’re trying to get pumped or motivated the rhythm is more important.
